Tuesday 9 Mar 21 Another Blustery Day

9 Mar 21

Got up at 8. I had to wake Pete up. He reminds me of a child sometimes. I put the dogs on their leashes and let them take care of their business. After I brushed my teeth and secured everything I drove back to Burger King for coffee. After coffee I made oats with toast and grapefruit for breakfast.

It was a cool and breezy morning.  High 60s or low 70s. The perfect temperature for me. I think it has been sunny every day since I've been in Arizona. One day it was cloudy in the afternoon but at least part of the day it was sunny. I love sunny days.

I was able to clip a bit of the clump of matted material from Wiggins left front paw between his toes. It is very painful for him so I can only do a little at a time. I will try clipping some more later.

It got so windy that I just stayed at the spot I was parked in at the Burger King for most of the day. Later I drove about a block to another parking lot where there was a Fry's Grocery Store. I checked out the grocery store and found they carried Boonse's Farm Winery Products. For nostalgia I bought a bottle of Boone's Farm Strawberry Hill. That was the first adult beverage I ever had. Like most teenagers I thought to be cool you had to break the rules  drink and smoke. It took me ten years to quit smoking cold turkey. I still have a beer or glass of wine with my meals but I make it a practice to not just drink.

Back in the RT I watched some YouTube videos and then took Wiggin on a long walk. It was pretty cold. The wind didn't die down all day and it got cold when the sun went down.

I fed the dogs around 8 then went to a Denny's that was next door. I had the senior chicken fried steak with fried potatoes, and sauteed zucchini and squash. The oil the zucchini and squash had been fried in was rancid and so I had them take it back and I got some corn instead. Overall it was a good dinner. I used the last $1.01 that was in the Denny's Gift Card that Marha bought me for my birthday on my first Winter Road Trip.

After I got back to the RT I secured everything and drove back to the Walmart and parked for the night. On the drive I noticed the price of unleaded gas had gone from $2.79 yesterday to $2.87. today. I'm afraid this may be the last Winter Road Trip in the RT. It is sad that I worked all my life dreaming of seeing the country from my  RT only to have the new Socialist Government of Dictator Joe Biden make that impossible.

Back at the Walmart I finished this blog and called it a night. Not an exciting day but at least it was sunny.
